About Us

Michael Dwyer began his love for building at an early age. He grew up in the Hill Country of Texas and helped his family with any building project that would come along. In his late teens - early 20's, Michael was employed by a major commercial building company out of San Antonio, Texas. At that time, he had the opportunity to work on numerous commercial building projects, hands on. He learned a great deal during that time about architecture & basic traditions of construction. Then, Michael progressed into production home building working for Ryland Homes for 2 years and Beazer Homes for 5 years, with whom he won many awards of achievement. Finally, he decided that building custom homes & renovating homes was his real passion. During that transition, Michael worked for the prestigious Rohe & Wright Builders, out of Houston. He served as their Senior Project Manager for The Woodlands area, and built homes in Carlton Woods from $800,000 to $2,500,000.

It was during this time that Michael served as the Senior Project Manager on the home of Brad and Karen Goebel, Carlton Woods, The Woodlands, Texas. This home received the prestigious GHBA 2006 PRISM Award. It was also featured on the television program, GREAT DAY HOUSTON. Michael Dwyer formed his own company in 2005 with the idea of changing the perception of home building by maintaining constant communication with his clients, his team of designers and professional contractors. In addition to his commitment to quality in home building, he also enjoys building long-lasting relationships with his clients. Michael Dwyer has become known for his meticulous attention to detail during each aspect of the building process, and is dedicated to listening to and delivering each client’s wishes throughout their home building experience. Customer service is genuinely the asset that sets Michael apart from other builders. His attention to his customers is impeccable. Michael's belief is that if the customer isn't happy, then it's a direct reflection on himself, as a builder & a person. It is very important to Michael that the relationship he has with his clients is based on trust & honesty. For, after all, building a home is really a marriage between the builder & the home owners.

The philosophy of Dwyer Custom Homes is quality, not quantity...in other words, it is not how many homes that we can build, but how well we can build each one of them. Dwyer Custom Homes builds a limited number of homes each year, never taking on more than will compromise the integrity & attention given to each home. In addition to custom home building, Dwyer Custom Homes does major & minor remodeling and renovations as well as storm damage repair.
